The Mission
The mission of Shawnee United Methodist Church is rooted in the Great Commission, Matthew 28:19-20: "Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that I’ve commanded you. Look, I myself will be with you every day until the end of this present age."
As United Methodists, we understand and believe that following Jesus can and will change the world. So, we affirm our mission as a worldwide connection of churches is "to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world."

The vision of Shawnee United Methodist Church is to love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously. We seek to be connected to one another and our community through love, service, and leadership.
